For some editing purposes, y'all may have a need to apply a "slashed zero" in your documents. You know—these are the zeros that accept a slash through them. They are often used in technical documents to differentiate the cipher from the capital letter O.
If you have a demand to use this character, you lot have two choices. First, you can find a font that actually uses the slashed aught in it. If you utilise this graphic symbol a lot, this is probably the best long-term solution. If you but demand to employ the graphic symbol periodically, nevertheless, you can follow these steps:
- Position the insertion signal where you want the slashed zero to appear.
- Press Ctrl+F9. Word inserts field braces.
- Blazon "eq \o (0,/)". (You lot should not include the quote marks.)
- Press Shift+F9. Give-and-take collapses your field and the slashed zero appears.
